I went to Gong-Ju with 8 friends to learn about Baek-Je. We rode the bus for 2 hours to reach Gong-Ju which is the capital city of Baek-Je.
We visited Gong-Ju National museum and Muryeong’s royal tomb. At Gong-Ju National museum, we did not learn much that I expected. One interesting figure is an animal that looks like a pig but the teacher told us that the animal is very important because it is an animal that protects one’s sprit from the evil.
We also saw a bunch of bricks that Baek-Je’s people used. It had patterns on it and it was made of stone. We saw a pillow in the King’s tomb as well. It was made with stone and decorated with dragon patterns which symbolize king.
The next place we visited is Muryeong royal tomb which is made by Back-Je’s bricks and there was an animal that we saw at the museum. It was a real one. There was a big coffin that had the king’s body in it. I know a mysterious fact about this tomb. Every tomb is broken or dirty but his tomb is clean.
Overall, it was a very fun trip and felt the need to know more about Baek-Je’s history.
