Today, I went to Goguryeo blacksmith's shop town at marie story. It was the second time I study at Damduk 2 story, so I was little bit exciting about it. At my house, there is some comic books about history, and I like the part of Goguryeo. So I think it was more exciting learning about Goguryeo.

 First, I will tell you about 'Founding Myth' of Goguryeo. Hae-mo-su, the heavenly King and Yu-hwa the asughter of the river's god, called Ha-baek fell in love. But they did not married, and Yu-hwa was pregnant. So Ha-baek was angry at her, he abandoned her. Then King Geum-wa took care of her, and Yu-hwa bore a big egg and Ju-mong hatched from it. Ju-mong was good at archery, so he could get that name. But 7 pinces of Buyeo jealous of Ju-mong because King Geum-wa liked him. So they planned to kill Ju-mong, and Yu-hwa knew about it, and tell to Ju-mong, so he could run away, But 7 princes were catching him up, and he was at in fromt of the river. So he praved to the god. Then fishes and tortoiss float and then he could cross over it, arrive to Jolbon, then he established Goguryeo.

 Second, there is 4 great kings during the Goguryeo period. First, about King Go-guk-cheon. Eul-pa-so, the prime minister, made a proposal to King Go-guk-cheon. He suggested that the nation should lend food to poor people in the year 194 AD. Poor people could borrow food during spring and pay back the food after harvest time. Before the system was made, people used to borrow food from the nobles. But the nobles wanted high interest rates. If the people could not pay back the food or money, they turned them into a slaves. By law, King Go-guk-cheon helped poor people, and weakened the noble's power. Second, about King So-su-rim. King So-su-rim set up a diplomatic relsationship with a country in China and established a national university clled Taehak in 372 AD. And he accepted Buddhism to improve his power. He laid the basis for Goguryeo's Golden Age. Third, about King Gwang-gae-to. King Gwang-gae-to 'the Great', conquered several other countries. At that time, Goguryeo was the most powerful country in Asia. He attacked the Yan dynatsty and he also attacked East Buyeo. Fourth, about King Jang-su. King Jang-su lived very long, so he got that name. He is son of Gwang-gae-to, defeated Baekje and extended the territory into Manchuria in the North and the Han River in the South. He strengthened the king's power.
