We learned about a lot of palaces in the Joseon Dynasty. However, today was the smallest place! The Gyeongun palace is famous for its stone wall road. I think there are three important things. First, it was the Seok zeo jeon, which is a western styled building. There is only one western styled building in Korean palaces. There is a foundation in the middle of seok zeo Jeon and the museum. Joseon people did not want to build a foundation because they loved their nation, and the water fell to the river. So we can see the foreigners built it. Who built it? Japan ruled Korea a while ago. The Japanese built it. This was less important than the Seok Zeo Jeon. The Joseon Dynasty held many important events in the main building. However, before the main building, there is “ Pum Gae Seok” which translates to “ lank stone” in English. The top of the step is the King Sangban and across the sangban, was the daegam followed by the young gab, and by the door there is the na eu ri. Third is the Jeonghwangheon. There is the Gojeong coffee drink. The coffee was so expensive. Often, many high officers and the King did not know how to drink the Gojeong coffee drink. So, often they would drink the coffee in Soju glasses and cheer to with the coffee and drink it in one shot. I thought the coffee would be so hot that it would burn their mouths. Do you drink coffee like that? ( 100% of people today probably don’t drink coffee like that). People should go to gyeongun palace because it is fun!
