I want to tell you about Gyeongun Palace today.
Its real name is Deoksu Palace, but the Japanese changed it.
There main gates are Daehanmun, Junghwajean, Seokeodang and there are much more, but I would like to tell you about Seokjojeon and Jeonggwangheon.
Seokjojean is a western style buillding where the king and the queen slept.
Jeonggwangheon is where King Gojong enjoyed his coffee. During that time, however, coffee was inported and people didn’t know how to drink it so they put hot coffee in small liquar glasses and drank it all down.
