The Gyeongun Palace
Today, we went to the Gyeongun Palace. It is a small, but a beautiful palace. When the Japanese controlled our country, they changed the name from Gyeongun Palace to Deoksu Palace. The main gate of Gyeongun Palace is Daehanmun. It is a small, but a special gate because there is no “hua” in the name of gate.
Next, we went to the SeokEoDang. It is the only two-story building, and it didn’t have 단청 and 잡상. Inmok, the queen mother, was locked in the SeokEoDang. Then we went to the Jeonggwangheon. Kding 고종 liked to drink coffee in Jeonggwangheon. I am interested in the Seokjojeon and Jeonggwangheon, the western style buildings.
The Gyeongun Palace is a very interesting palace, and if I have a chance, I want to go again.
