Jeonghwajeon is the main building of Gyeonun Palace. It doesn't have walls around it different from other palaces because the Japanese destroyed them. National Official events were held in Junghwajeon. Ranking stones are there in rows to show the official ranks. The golden window frames represented the empire. Gojong also announced about the change of name to Daehanjaeguk from Goryeo.

Seokeodang is the only two story building of Gyeongup Palace. Crownprince Gwanghae locked Inmokdaebee in there for 5years because he was afraid to lose his trone from her son. After 5years, she was released and took over Gwanhae's throne. She sent Gwanghae to Jeju Island to die, and gave the crown to Injo to be the king of Korea.
