Today I went to Gyeongun palace with Mari story teacher. It was my first class therefore I was nervous. However when I met Mr. fox I was interested in Gyeongun palace. We could see ceremony of the gate guarder changing when we are at Daehanmun. We went to Junghwajeon. Junghwajeon was the most important building because it was the place for the offical events. There are many rank stones. Next we went to Seokeodang. Seokeodang is the only two story building in the palace. Inmok the Queen Mother was locked in Seokeodang by the order of prince Gwanghae. Jeukjodang was the place for coronation. Hamneongjeon was used as the king`s sleeping place. King Gojong died there and the last emperor. Deokhongjeon was the reception hall for foreign guests. Jeonggwangheon was the relaxing place for king Gojong. King Gojong drank a coffee here. I was happy to learn about korean history in English.
