Today, I walked through the gate of Gyeongun palace called 'Daehanmn.' When I was in the palace everything was beatiful. There were many trees and grass. Me and my teacher, friends went on and saw an enormous palace. There were some ranking stones and Hachi sculptres. It was'JungwaJeon.' 'JungwaJeon' was a palace where coronations were held. After looking at the palace we also saw the water clock that tells the time automatically, And we saw 'Jeonggwangheon' Where king Gojong and the officals drank coffee. Also we saw 'Hamnyeongjeon.' This place was where the kings slept and king Gojong was dead here. Looking around the palace was very fun. But among the fun facts of Gyeoungun palace is that in it there are two cooks. One is 'Jubang Sanggung' and the other was 'Dae-ryeong-suk-su. 'Jubang Sanggung' was a cook that makes daily food for the king but 'Dae-ryeong-suk-su' makes the food in important ceremony. During walking out of the maingate, I thought that Korean history is very long and complicated. Learning from my teacher was very helpful for me to understand it. I am very proud of our country. |
