Today, I went to the Gyeongun Palace. First, I saw the grand Dae-han Gate. The place of Dae-han Gate was changed by Japanese. So, the place where there is the Dae-han Gate of nowadays is different with the past.(Plus, Deoksu Palace is same with Gyeoungun, and it calls also 'the West Palace'.)

During venturing the Gyeongun Palace, It is so hot that I have no energy!

Anyway, on the Dae-han Gate, I saw the jabsang and danchung like other 5 palaces. To short, people believe that jabsang protect the palace from evil spirit of fire. There are monk, monkey, pig, and monster. They are based on the Chinese novel, 'Journey to the West'. And the Danchungs' means have different meaning connecting with their colors. Red means fire, black means water, white means metal, yellow means Earth and green means wood or tree.

After I investigate about the Dae-han Gate, I went to the Jungwhajeon. It is main building of the palace-I couldn't memorize the name of it so writing about it is too hard working for me! It is used for the official events, Inside it, I saw the throne of king and the Folding Screen. In the Folding Screen, the sun and the moom mean king and queen, pine trees mean civil and military officials, 5 mountains mean 5 palaces of Korea(or the best mountain of Korea like Mt. Baekdo), and the river mean the people of Joseon.

Next to the Jongwhajeon, there are rank stones to show the official ranks. Civil and military officials stood by them on ceremony occasion.

Secondly, I saw the Seokeodang is the only two-story building in the palace. The queen's mothe was locked in it by the Gwanghae Prince for 12 years.

Next, I saw the Junmyungdang. It recieved foreign ministers the sleeping area.

Gojong made this to kindergarten for his grandson. I impresed by the Gojong's loving mind of his grandson. Also, the Deokhongjeon did the same role.

Then, I visited the miserable place, Hanmyungjeon. Because, it is the place where the Gojong died.

Last, I saw the Seokjojeon and the Jeonggwanheon, the western building. Especially, the Seokjojeon used the neoclassic. And the Jeonggwanheon is the place for drinking coffee for officials and Gojong.

They drank coffee in Korea way like drinking the alcohol! It seems like that their in-mouth burnt!

Even though it was so sizzling and I can't participate in the festival I was interested, it was the special and great adventure!♬
