Today, I went to NamSan traditional village. First of all I can see many traditional houses. At the first glance, it just look same. However, when we see closer and deeper, we can separate it into 3 places. Sadang, Sarangchae and Anchae. Shrine is constructed with the purpose of repecting ancestors. I discovered there is no female's ancestor's shrine. and also, Sarangchae( the room for male) is much bigger than Anchae( the room for females). This concept that males are special than female came from confucianism that came from china. I knew how the room is cool in summer without any air conditioning and the theory about the procedure how the floor get warm. I really enjoyed the class today and I'll do my best tomorrow.
