I went to the Namsan Hanoak Village with my classmates. We got to be able to look at lots of traditional houses, especially tilled houses. The tilled houses are divided into three parts. The sarangche, the anche, and last of all, the sadang. The sarangche are made for and used by male people. The anche is made fo the females. The sadanang is made for paying respect for the dead. Also, for winter, when it was cold, they used the ondol to warm up by letting the air heat the floor by passing beneath the floor. I thought it was very cool for it was very neat that you could make the room warm without using electricity or gas. I wish our country would at least try to follow it a little bit so it helps reduce air pollution. |
