Gyeongun palace is different from other palaces. There are many western cultures and changes. TO look at the western cultures, there is a uilding called 석조전. It has a living room for foreign officials, a reception hall and bedrooms for the king and queen. In the front yard, there is a fountain which Korean people thought of it "unnatural." Also 고종 drank coffee that was imported from Russia. 정광현 was the place where 고종 drank it.Gyeongun palace went through many changes after Joseon became 대한 empire. The signboard of pavilions changed to gold letters. The seal on the stairs changed to dragon from pheonix. Lastly the color of doors of the construction were yellow which means the 'emperor.'
In conclusion Gyeongun palace is a special palace which overcame many changes. If i have opportunity I want to visit Gyeongun place again |
