Gyeongun Palace was the house of the king seongjong's older brother, but after Imjin war, they moved to changdeok palace. After Gojong accede to king and they comeback to Gyeongun Palace. When you go into this palace, you can see Daehanmun which is a maingate of this palace. If you go inside more you can see a lot of structures. For example, SeokEoDang is a only building that has two floor. In this building, Inmok the Queen mother was killed by Prince Gwanghae. JeonMyoengDang recieved foriegn ministers. Japan had destroyed two third of palace and built a fountain. when Gojong went to Russia, he love to drink coffee. So he brang some coffe and made a building named JeongGwangHeon. They filled nthe coffee in the cup and drank at one time. About water clock, which is in front of JungHwaJeon, it tells the time automaticallly. It uses bell, drum and some more musical instrument on the clock. It was disappeared and made at 1536 again. I think it was a wonderful harmony between Asia and west. I love this palace. I wish I could go there again.
