Hello, everyone? My name is Sally. Yesterday, I went to Blacksmith house to learn about Goguryeo history. I learned a lot today like the marraige system of Okjeo, Dongye, and Goguryeo, King Gwang-gae-to the Great, and King Jangsu, etc. But among these today, I will tell you about the myth of Goguryeo, and about watchtower Chi and Heating system Ondol.

First, I will tell you about the myth of Goguryeo. One day, the son of heaven, Hae-mo-su, came to the land. He saw the daughter of Ha-baek, Yu-hwa adn suddenly they fell in love. Yu-hwa had a baby but Hae-mo-su had to live. So Geum-Wa took care of Yu-hwa. At the palace, Yu-hwa gave birth to an egg. Geum-Wa thought it's bad so he gave the egg to animals. However, the animals kept safely so Geum-Wa changed his mind and gave the egg back to Yu-hwa. The egg hatched, and the baby was in there. The baby is Ju-mong. Ju-mong means good at archery so Geum-Wa liked him The other princes were jealous of him and tried to assassinate him. So Ju-Mong ran away and setablished Goguryeo in Jolbon.

Next, I will tell you about watchtower Chi and Heating system Ondol. First, the watchtower Chi is like small forts. The soldiers could look down all borders and watch the enemy's movements. Also, we could attack enemies in two sides. Next, the Heating system, Ondol is used for cooking food and heating rooms. Goguryeo was a cold area so they need Ondol desperately. The ancient Ondol is different from today's Ondol. It is different by location. The ancient Ondol is on the ground, but today's Ondol is in underground.

Today, I told you about the myth of Goguryeo, and about Chi and Ondol. In conclusion, I think Goguryeo is our pround country in Korea.
