Today, I went to Seodaemun Prison, which partriots died. There were many places in here such as torture room.
First, I will tell you about the torture rooms. I learned some of the torturing techniques. One of it is hanging your feet and poured water and peper paste on the nose and mouth. Another is having yourself in a wooden coffin and trapping you. After sometime, the Japanese took that person out and that person could almost not walk. There were the physically done torture. The mental torture was asking questions like "where is your center?" I learned that also it opened at 1908 and the Seodaemun Prison was built next to the Independence Gate, so the people in Korea will not dream about Korea's independence. I saw the people who pretended to be sick by peeling off their skin, by having a meeting. A famous person for the resistance demonstration is 유관순. She fought for the independence in Korea and enver threw the chair to the Japanese.
I think the torturing was scary and the Seodanmun Prison was very hideous. I think the patriots are the true people we must respect here and be thankful to them, since we can now live because of their courage. |
