I have been to 'Seodamun Prison History Hall'.

Seodamun Prison is located next to Independence Gate. Japan built

Seodamun Prison there to stop Koreans from thinking about independence. Seodamun Prison is the biggest prison in Korea, and many patriots were put in there.

In the prison, we could see cells where peoples were lockd up, and torture room where Japenese has tortured many patriots.

And also, we learned about Yu Kwan-Sun. She was only 18 year old teenager when she fought for independence. She was imprisoned in seodamun prison and reacieved harsh beating and was tortured. She was really brave for a female and also, a teenager. She was tortured, but never gave up. I'm very proud of her.

We learned about Tae-guek-gi, too. Tae-gue-gi has many meanings. The circle in the middle means opposite things like sun&moon, man&women. The lines in each corner has very many meanings. It represent the four universal elements : heaven, earth, sun, and moon. It also represents four seasons : spring, summer, fall&winter or the directions : east, west, south and north.

I am very proud of our patriots, and I thank to them.
