Today, I'll talk about buildings inside Gyeongun palace.

Most of the people doesn't know where Gyeongun palace is. We call it Deoksu palace now. Japanese have changed the name of Gyeongun palace during the Imjin war. They didn't wanted Daehanjeguk to become independent world.

Before I explain about buildings, I want to talk about small statues on the every roof top of the buildings and also the door which is connecting thourgh the inside of the palace. These small statues are called japsang. These japasang is a character of seoyugi. Seoyugi is famous fictional novel from Tang Dynasty.

Japasang was made to protect palace from fire. This is how people thought. Seoyugi character Sonogong, Jeopalgye, and saojung were fighter! People believed they sew out hwama(The spirit of the fire.)

The most important building inside the Gyeongun palace is JungHwa Jeon. JungHwa Jeon was used to have official events. At the front of JungHwa Jeon, ther are rows of stone posts to show the official ranks. Civil and military officials stood by them on ceremonial occasions. Inside JungHwa Jeon, the throne is beautifully decorated.

SeokEoDang is the only two-story building in the palace. Inmok the Queen Mother was locked in SeokEoDang by the order of Prince Gwanghae.

JeukJoDang was the place for coronation. This is where Prince GwangHae, King InJo and SunJo came to the throne.

JeonMyeongDang is a place where King Gojong once stayed and received foreign ministers as guests.

HamNyeongJeon was used as the King's sleeping place. King Gojong died there and the last emperor, King Sunjong, sometimes stayed there.

DeokHongJeon was the reception hall for foreign guests.

SeokJoJeon is a western style stone building. It has a living room for government officials, a reception hall and bedrooms for the king and queen.

JeongGwangHeon is a place King Gojong enjoyed his coffee with liquol glass. JeongGwangHeon is a place which is balanced  with western and eastern style. Piller, lentern, roof is western, carving, fence is eastern style.

Thank you for reading my story I hope you enjoyed.
