Would you like to live in the Chosen period? Joseon was a great country with many beautiful traditions. And the center of Joseon is Hangyang. I learned about this in Seoul History Museum.

First, I will talk about why Hanyang was built here. King Taejo chose Hanyang as the new capital because of three reasons. First is that MuhakDaesa(¹«Çдë»ç) told Taejo to do it. Taejo listened to him since Muhakdaesa was the one who told king Taejo that he was going to be king. Second is he thought the capital should be physically in the center. Third is that he wanted to cut off all powers of Goryeo in Gaesung, so he changed it.

Second, I will tell you about the Patch. Officiers had uniforms with Patches. The king and crown prince has the dragon. Civil officers had crane patterns and military officers had tiger patterns.

Third, the most interesting thing for me was the Umbilical cord jar. The umblicial cord jar had the princess of prince's umblical cord. People buried this in the mountain with the stome that had the name and date of the baby.

I felt that if I had lived in the Joseon period, I would have been confused by all the traditions I had to follow. On the other hand, I think that our ancestors were wise to organize many things with an exact reason. If I lived in Joseon, I would like to wear the clothes of officers and feel the dignity of them.
