Hi! My name is John. Today, I'm going to talk about Hanok the Korean Traditional House.

There's two types of Hanok.

One is Hanok with tile roof. Noble men(Yangban) usually lived there. Because of confusion, it seperate into 2 rooms, Sarangchae, and Anchae. Men lived in Sarangchae and they studied in there. Women lived in Sarangchae, and Anchae had a kitchen.

Another Hanok is Hanok with thached roof. It;s metrials were soil, and straw. Middle or lower people lived in there.

There's many funtions in Hanok too. First, it has ondol. Ondol, warm stone is a heating system, which used in winter. If people use fire in kitchen, smoke go through the room and room became warm. Next is Daechungmaru, wooden floor. Daechungmaru is system that make floor very cool in summer time.
