<Goguryeo Blacksmith Villiage>

 Today, I went to Goguryeo Blacksmith Villiage. In there, I learned about Goguryeo's history. Godguryeo was established by Ju-mong in BC 37. According to the myth of Goguryeo, Ju-mong's grandfathers are the gods of the heaven and the river. Also, Ju-mong was borned by an egg. Goguryeo was a powerful country in Asia for a long time. During King Gogukcheon's reign, the prime minister named Eulpaso suggested that the country should lend food to poor people. During King So-su-rim's reign, King So-su-rim declared law, established university named Taehak, and accepted Buddisim. This lead to Goguryeo into golden age. The next king's name was King Gwang-gae-to 'the Great'. He began to conquer other countries such as Bakjae and Yan dynasty. His son, Kin Jangsu, began to conquer southern Korea. The story how he get Seoul is very interesting. King Jansu send a monk named Dorim to the King Garro. Dorim was good at Baduk(Korean Chess), so he became friend with King Garro. Later, Dorim suggested King Garro to build larger palace and the Bakjae became weekend. At last, King Jangsu invaded Bakjae and get Seoul.

 Why does the Goguryeo so powerful? I think it was probably by their tools. Goguryeo's blacksmith were excel at making iron tools. They invented stirrups that allows the archor to keep their balance while they were riding on the horses. As a result, Goguryeo won lots of battle because they could do both riding and shooting arrows. For these advantages, Goguryeo was even able to defeat Sui dynasty. Especially in the second Sui's invasion, Sui attacked with 30 thousand soldiers, but only 2700 soldies alived after 'the Great Victory at Salsu'. Later, Tang dynasty also attacked Goguryeo, but the emperor was hit by an arrow and they failed to attack Goguryeo. Goguryeo won the fights, but they became weakened. Unfortunately, after the great general named Yeon-Gae-So-Mun died, his three sons fought each other and one of them surrendered to Tang dynasty. As a result, it was destroyed by Sila and Tang. Even today, we didn't own old Goguryeo's territory, 'Manjuria.'
