Hello? My name is Alex, and today we're at the chang deok palace. Chang deok palace is one of the eastern palace. It started building in 1405, early Joseon dynasty. It was built for King Tae jong. This is a UNESCO world Heritage site. But it was destroied many times in during the Japanese invasion. It lased 505 years from 1405 to 1910.
Chang deok palace and its garden were bulit in harmony with nature. There are many lakes and ponds which like a Bu young ji . 60% of the area of Chang deok palace is taken up by the rear gardens. This was called secret garden because it was hidden in small valleys.
Chang deok palace's main gate is Donhwamun. Donhwamun. Donhwamun was built in 1412. In the Donhwamun, there was drum. The drum rung at 4am, 33 times, this mean people could go around the city. And at 10am, 28 times rung, this mean peaceful night.
Go through the Donhwamun, there was In Jeong Jeon. In Jeong Jeon is the main hall where officals and king have formal ceremony. The king also received foreign visitors here.
I think Chang deok palace is wonderful. I want to recommend this palace to othere people.
