Today, I went to Unhyun Palace. This palace was the personal house of Heung-Seon-dae-won-gun. He was the father of King Gojong. King Gojong became king when he was only 12 years old. Andong-Kims-Clan chose Heung-Seon-dae-won-gun because they are the opposite power of Heung-Seon-dae-won-gun and they ignored them. The reason was because Heung-Seon-dae-won-gun hung out with gangsters and played a lot. The Andong-Kims-Clan killed anyone they thought they were bothering them. So, they wanted to have more power and rule the country instead of King Gojong. They were afraid that when King Gojong rules the country, they could lose their power. I was interested in this story about King Gojong and Heung-Seon-dae-won-gun.

Thank you for listening to my speech!
