Did you ever been to Changgyeon Palace? Changgyeong palace main gate is 홍화문(honghwamun) and main hall is 명정전(Myeonh jeong jeon), History of Changgyeong palace! Lady Jang, the mother of King Gyeongjong was killed. Crown Prince Sado, the son of Yeongjo was put to death in rice chest. Japan changed it to zoo, but it restored in 1984. Myeongjeong jeon was the place for official events. Many official cerimonies and civil service exams were held there. Sungmundang9숭문당) was a place for academies discussinon. The sign board was written by Yeongjo. My memorale thing was 'Dancheon'. Dancheong is Korean-syled and colorful decorations used on buildings. During Joseon Dynasty, the palace and Buddhist temple were painted with Dancheong.
Dancheong consists of five colrs.
화 Red means fire
수 Black means water.
목 Green means tree or wood.
금 White means metal.
토 Yellow means earth.
