Today, I went to the 'Unhyun palace.'

Unhyun palace is personal house of 'Heng-Sun-Dae-Won-Gun', th father of king Gojong.

King Gojong lived in the house until the age of 12 years old, before he became a king.

Unhyun palace is not official palace.

But it is important palace in morden korean history In Unhyun palace.

There are Noan-dang, Norak-dang, and sujiksa.

Noan-dang is Sarangchae, that 'Heng-Sun-Dae-Won-Gun' lived.

Norak-dang is Anchae that women's room.

Finally Sijiksa is where the guards and the servents stayed here.

All the palaces has Lofty gates, and Lower gates.

Lofty gate was highto represent the pride of th nobleman, A palaquin and a horse could get into the house throgh this gate.

And Lower gates are low to represent mostly because you must lower your neck to get this gate.
