Have you ever been to the Gyeongbok Palace? I think many people have been to the Gyeongbok Palace. There were 5 Palaces during the Joseon Dynasty. There were Gyeongbok, Gyeonghui, Gyeongun, Changgyeong, Changdeok Palaces. And also King Taejo built the Gyeongbok Palace. The Gwanghwamun is the main gate of the Palace. The Original gate was destroyed during the Imjin war. However, It was rebuilted by Heungseon Daewongun. Terribly, It was destroyed again by the Korean War but happily it was rebuilted by the President Park. There are many palaces. First is Geunjeongjeon. This Palace is the main builing of Gyeongbok Palace. Second is Sajeongjeon. This building is the King's private office. The king and his officers worked together, and also they studied together, too. Third is Gangneongjeon. This building is the King's private room. There is a Dragon which symbolize the King's power. Forth there is Gyotaejeon. This building is the queen's living quater. Also queen give the birth. And there is a garden which King made for the Queen. In past, all the women cannot go outside easily. Even King's wife queen, too. So, the King built the beautiful garden for the queen. Fifth there is the Jageingjeon. This building's story is Heungseon Daewongun built to the King's mother. In the hall, there is a beautiful flowers. Last, there is the Gyeonghwaeru. This building is the largest pavilion where king is resting and hosting the ceremony. Next to the Gyeonhwaeru there is the Hwangwonjeong. This pavilion is resting place for the royal family. Today I think I can learn many things about the Palaces through Gyeongbok Palace.
