Today, I went to Seoul National Museum of history. And now I'm going to tell you about Hopae and umbilical cord Jar.

   To begin with, I learned Hopae. Hopae is a ID card. In front side of the Hopae there is personal thing such as birthdate, class and job. And in back side there is date of issue. Also, I heard only man who are 16years old and more than 16 can use it. It is like ID card that we use it now. However there is some differences between Hopae and IDcard that we use nowaday, which are women can use ID card and we get ID card when we are 19. From Hopae we can know population of Korea.

   Moreover, I learned unbilical cord Jar. This is a special birth jar. Inside of it there is unbilical cord of prince or princess. And we burried his jar along with a stone. The stone had the name and date of the birth of the baby. In addition they put turtle that made with stone like patron saint. Joseon people said unbilical cord jar is good for child's future, but, I think this is just superstition. From this field trip I learned many hings such as Hopae, umbilical Cord Jar and embroidered patterms. From now on I will study more about our history.
