Today is my second experience to join this program.
This morning, I went to the Namsan Hanok Traditional Village.
Today I learned about the House, room, and many things in Korean history.
First, I saw the gates.I saw two gates. The lofty gate, and the lower gate.
There are two kinds of house. One is tile roof house, and other one is thatched roof house. middle and
lower class people lived in thatched roof houses, and Noblemen lived in tile roof houses.
And there are 4 rooms called Sarangchae,Anchae,Hangnangchae, and Byeolchae.Sarangchae is the area
for men,Anchae is for women,Hangnangchae is for servants, and Byeolchae is for daughter that didn't get
marry.
I heard about the ondol system. In the kitchen, if we cook or make something to use fire, then the smoke
move under the room,so our room became warm, and smoke move out from the chimney. Third, I saw
the shrine, and the Jangdokdae. The shrine was build before building other buildings. Before, every morning
the family came here to pay their respects, and In Jangdokdae, we can storing food for fermentation.
