Did you ever visit the Seoul Museum of korea? If you ever went there, you could know many things about our country's history, just like I did. Visiting the Seoul Museum of History told me a valuable lesson.

I saw many things including the epic poem, hopae, umbilical cord jar, and so on, but I was most interested in the folding screen 'Highlights of a Typical Korean Life' and the traditional Korean clothes.

"Highlights of a Typical Korean Life' has drawings how a nobleman lived from 10 to 39. It tells of his youth, him studying, his marriage, passing on the civil service examination, and the life as an official. After learning how noblemen loived, I also wondered how a common person's life would be like.

The traditional Korean clothes were also something to think about. These days, you could wear any clothes of any color of design, but in the past, you couldn't. Common people wore white clothes made of cotton or hemp, since silk and dyes were expensive. Nobles, however, could wear colorful silk clothes. Civil officals had embroided cranes, which symbolized integrity. Tiger patterns were embroided on Military officiers' lothes, which represented bravery. Only the king and crown prince could have a dragon printed.

Visiting the Seoul Museuem of History gave me a lot of information about our country's old times. It was a very special and valuable time.
