Museum of Natural History
Museum of Natural History is an excellent place to be on free weekends. On the first floor, there are dinosaurs¡¯ model, and an exhibition about the nature. On the second floor, there is an exhibition about the history of living things. In there was a flow chart of evolution, and also there were fossils of dinosaurs, such as Acrocanthosaurus, and also there was a mammoth. There were also preserved insects, such as butterflies and crabs. On the 3rd floor, we watched a 3D video of how Earth was born. There are 8 planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The easy way to memorize this is : My Very Excellent Mother Just Sent Us Nachos. When we include Pluto, it is My Very Excellent Mother Just Sent Us Nine Pizzas. J Today, I learned a lot about dinosaurs, too. Some dinosaurs had a very small brain. They had a brain the size of the pea. We sort those into 3 categories- herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores. Herbivores eat plants, carnivores eat meat. Some herbivores would have horns or other defensive weapons to protect themselves. Their teeth that is small and flat, while carnivores and omnivores would have sharp, big teeth.
In conclusion, I think a trip to the museum of natural history is definitely worthy of the time you spend in the museum!
