I'll tell you about legend about established Goguryeo. The got of sky, 해모수 and god or river 하백's dauter, 유화 were love togther. But I think in fact, they weren't god. Because I don't believe the god.
Anyway, they can't live together. Because 해모수 should live in the sky, 유화 should live under the ground. So 해모수 go to the sky.
King 금와 brought 유화 and she gave a birth egg, so King 금와 through the egg to some animals lik pigs or horses. But the animals protected the egg with there breath. So the egg could go back to its mother, 유화.
Finally 주몽 born in the egg. 주몽 mean a good at archer. So the 주몽 is good at archer and king 금와 loved him. So his son jealous 주몽. He run away to 졸본 and established Goguryeo.
I think the egg is symbol of the sun.
