Hello, my name is jo su won and my english name is cindy. Today, I went to the seodaemun prison. And I learned about Joseon's historycal background with Japan. Japan don't want the korea people think about independence. So they build the prison near by the independence gate. Yu gwan sun, An jung geun some kind of patriot people go there. In one cell, there are 15~20 people locked. And japanese want the korean patriot's name of where they lived, so they torture our Joseon people. There are more than 100 kinds of torture. But I know just 4 torture. first, box torture. It means in the big box, there are very sharp nails on it, so japanese put the person in the box and they shaked it. Second, water torture. Japanese wants the information of patriot so they torture the people it's famous of water torture. they put the water in there nose so they can't breathe. Thrid, nail torture. They thrust their fingers and take off the finger nails.

That's very dreadful, but even they have to locked in handcuffs and leg irons. I think japanese people is very awful. If I was in that dynasty common people, I was very scared. But there were very brave person. Yu gwan sun. She was very brave and loyalty to our korea. But she was passed away when she was only 18. When she was E-hwa female school, japan want to closed all the school in joseon so she go back to her hometown and planned demonstration. I can't believe she was just teenager.

I had very many think of our history. And I want the japan people apology to our korean people. I was very proud of our ancestors and we have to  proud of our country korea, too. Thankyou for listening.^^
