THANKS TO OUR GREAT ANCESTOR!
Hello. My name is Kang, jee yoon.
Today I went to the National Museum of Korea in Yong-San. I have been to this museum for several times, so I had confidence in introducing the cultural properties and our history. However,museum gives me something new and makes me feel thankful to our ancestors everytime when I visit.
This time I thought about 고구려(frankly speaking I like 고구려).
As we know, 고구려 was established by 주몽.주몽 means the expert archer.According to the myth of 고구려, 주몽 was born from the egg. Maybe, the egg means God from heaven. Although 주몽, 동명성왕 were great kings, there is another king who led the Golden Age. It's King 광개토. King 광개토 expanded over Manchuria. And his son, King 장수 expanded territory to southern part of Korean Penisula. Also he made 고구려 stronger and made effort to improve living condition of 고구려 people. As I said, 고구려 was a great kingdom. However, China is recently claiming that 고구려 is china's territory. The reason is that manchuria, where 고구려 was located at that time, is now Chinese territory.(The Northeast Project) I think we have more concrened about our history and we should keep it.Although there were no golden crowns and delicate treasures that still remain, I like 고구려 because it has its own strong power and it overcame the hard environment and resources.
In conclusion, I have proud of our history and our ancestors. I think we have to study more about our history and we must know the fact of history distortion like dok-do,China's Northeast project something else.
