On March 18, I went to Seodaemun Prison History Hall. It is a place where used as a real prison at the Japanese colonial era. I went there when I was second grade, but it was so much different when I went there this month. First, I went to basement. It was only place at the history hall that hasn't rebuild. There was a lots of models of tortures. There was fingernail torture, water torture, box torture, wall coffin torture. Fingernail torture is the torture that give pain by piercing a sharp and thin skewer under the finger nail. Water torture is to pour a water mixed with pepper powder at the upside downed person's face. Box torture puts people in the box stubbed with sharp needles and roll the box. Person inside it will be ripped and bloody. Wall coffin torture is to put person in the small coffin like place standing up after that person would be numb. These was all very scary tortures. They gave me goosebumps. Korea made this history hall to memorize that time and let world know japanese didn't apologize. At the upstairs, there was many writings of history of resistance. There was a big painting of Yu Kwan-sun. She leaded joint demonstration in 1919 at aunae marketplace and eventually died there. There was a little hut and inside it there was dozens picture of patriots. There was other things, too. After class I went to large prison. It was very cold and small. I was so proud that our ancestors worked so hard to gain independence, but prison was so scary. It was a good experience.
