<Changgyeong palace's history>

  During the Japanese invasion, many people and animals were damaged, and there were many environmental problems. Among the rest, Changgyeong Palace was one of the place that was damaged. Originally, king Seongjong build this palace for his mother and grandmother, but during the Japanese invasion, it burned. So, king Gwanghae rebuilt it.

   The main gate of this palace is Honghwamun. Honghwamun has three elements in the roof : Dancheong, Japsang, and Dragon Ridge.

   Dancheong has 5 colors : red, black, green, white, and yellow. Red represents fire, black represents water, green represents tree, white represents metal, and yellow represents the earth. Japsang has characters from 'Journey to the West.' The order is Buddhist monk, monkey, pig, and the lion.

  My favorite place was the back garden, called Huwon. Huwon has a beautiful pond called Chundangji. I loved the ducks and fish living in and paddle. Huwon was used for the royal families to rest. The pond is still located in Changdeok palace. This place has been damaged during the Japanese invasion too. Japanese people changed this area into a zoo, but it was restored in 1984.

  In conclusion, I think Changgyeong palace is a beautiful palace like Changdeok palace. Also, I think every palaces are slightly similar each other because Injeongjeon from Changdeok palace and Myeongjeongjeon from Changgyeong palace is similar. I think it would be a great chance to visit there. Everyone would probably love our Korean tradition after visiting.
