Yesterday, I went to the Namsan Hanok Village. The Hanok was built with nature, using materials found in nature. Almost of houses made of wood.

<Palace>Palace is very large and beautiful. Also, only the king could live in a house of more than 99 kan. Kan means the distance between two pillars.

<Tiled roof>Nobleman(Yangban) lived a tiled-roof houses. (Sarangchae)Sarangchae is the main quarters. Also, the man lived at Sarangchae.(Anchae)Anchae were for the women. (Hangnangchae)Servants stayed at the servant's quaters, Hangnangchae.

<Thatched roof>Middle and lower class people live in thatched roof houses. This houses's roof are made with straws.

<Bamboo wife>Bamboo wife has lots of holes. Usually the man used bamboo wife, especially in summer.

<Chamber pot>Instead of bathroom, joseon people used chamber pot inside the room. Because the bathroom is close with the main building, because of the smell. When the bathroom is close with the main building, it smell ordor.

I though today was really good, funny and excited experience. It was really nice day. But, It was hot, so I was tired.

Anyway, I want to visit here, once more time.
