Hello, my name is Jennifer and today, I went to Sungkyunkwan. Before moving on, what is sungkyunkwan? Sungkyunkwan is the best education university during the Joseon dynasty. Also, it is for only noble and outstanding man because they are the people who will lead the country in future. however, I would like to introduce you about most interesting things, 2 monuments, Daeseongjeon, and how sungkyunkwan student live.

First, in Sungkyunkwan, there is 2 monument, Tangpyeongbi and Hamabi. Tangpyeongbi was the monument that Joseon¡¯s 21st king, Youngjo made. The content of this is don¡¯t split into factions and become good officials. This is because in that time, there is two factions, noron and soron. Also, I did not learn today, but there is food, that call ¡®Tangpyeong-chae¡¯ means don¡¯t force their thinks, but cooperate together and make good country. Also, hamabi is the stone tablet that locate at the entrance of Munmyo and the content of this tablet is people should get out from a horse regardless of his social status, even the king. Why they should dismount from a horse? It is because munmyo is very important places.

Second, Daeseongjeon is a shrine and in Sungkyunkwan, space for shrine is important as space for study so it is very important place because it is the most important shrine. In daesongjeon, there is spirit tablets for Confucious and disciples of him and great confucianism scholars. In the center, there is Confucious¡¯s spirit tablet because he was most important. Also, the size of them is all different, too and it is for know how much they are important like stars, moon, sun¡¯s light are different.

Lastly, I will talk about student¡¯s harsh life. They live in Dongjae and seojae the dormitory for students. They woke up in 6 a.m. by the sound of drum that hung on the ceiling. They wash their face, eat breakfast. They eat breakfast and dinner in Jhinsa-sikdang and they got 1 point, and they could take a final test that selected for official, after that, they studied about confucianism, and other subjects.

,In conclusion, I thought Sungkyunkwan student is great because they studied all days and nights. Also. I thought it is kind of discrimination because even they are not noble men, and male they could be a outstanding official and lead the country. Luckily, I went inside of Daseongjeon, too and I could feel spirit¡¯s serious. Thank you for reading.
