Hello my name is Emily. Today I went to Changgyeonggung. In Changgyeonggung I saw lots of historical buildings. I'll talk about Dancheong, Okcheongyo and Sungmundang cause it was the most interesting historical buildings.

 First of all, Dancheong is a decoration made by Korea traditional style. Dancheong was used in palace and Buddhist temples because five colors that consist Dancheong represent each element that make the universe. Also dancheong symbolize king's power.

Second, Okcheongyo is a stone bridge. It was not very long bridge but, it connected the king area and common peole's area. Joseon peoles wants to protect palace from evil spirits so they put the monster carving also to the bridge.

The last one is Sungmundang. It is the place for academic discussions. It is special place because Sungmundang singboard were written by Yeongjo who was the king of Joseon.

 I felt Joseon people's really wants to protect palace from evil sprits cause even they put the monster carving in bridge. Today class was really exciting and interesting because the male foreign teacher was so funny. I hope to see him one more time. Thank you for listening.
