Today, I went to National Folk Museum. This is located inside the Gyeongbokgung. Today I saw the lifestyle of people. When babys born, straw rope(geumjul) was hang over the gate. People hung the straw rope to protect the house from evil spirits and to warn people not to enter the house. If the boy borned charcol and red peppers were put on the rope. If a girl baby was born, charcol and the pine branches were put on the rope. In 100th day celebration, people made a rice cke give to neighborhood. It is because in the past there aren't many babys couldn't live a long time.

Next, I wil tell you about the Kimchi. In Korea, ther eare 200types of Kimchi. There a steps to make Kimchi. First, we need to put cabbage in salt water to make softened. 2nd we need to rinse the cabbage three times in cold water. 3rd pack the cabbage with spicy ingredients. Last, we need to wrap it

On the first birthday, babys pick things that was on the table. If baby picks up a book, it is that baby will be a scholar. If the baby picks up rice or money it is that baby will be a rich. If the baby picks up thread, baby will live long. They prepare gold ring for baby.
