Hello my name is Raphael. We went to Changgyeongung today. Changgyeong is a place where Crown Prince Sado and lady Jang died. However, there are a lot of splendid buildings like Myeongjeongjeon and Okcheongyo.

Myeongjeongjeon was the Throne Hall, People did Coronations, and enjoy receptions and more. On Myeonjeongjeon, there was Danchung. It is a Korean traditional decoration. Danchung shows the dignity of the king, prevent from woods to rot.

Okcheongyo was interesting, too. It seperates the king¡¯s living place and the common land. People believed that they can clean up their mind by the flowing water before they meet the king.

I also saw the Sugmundang. I learned that king Yeongjo like this place because it was place for academic discussions and studying.

Today was very exhausting because it was very hot. However, I liked learing the historical facts about Chaggyeonggung. I was sad thet Haminjeong was on a construction so we couldn¡¯t see it. I wish that the construction was over when I come next time. Thank you for listening.
