Today, I went to Changdeokgung palace. Changdeokgung palace was mostly kept its original design among the five palaces in Seoul. It is one of the estern palaces. The founder King Taejong designed Changdukgung in 1405, early in Joseon Dynasty. It lasted for 505 years. It is an UNESCO World Heritage. Changdukgung palace and its garden were built harmony with nature.

Next, I will tell you about Changdukgung palace's buildings. First, there was a Donhwamun that was built in 1412. It is the oldest remaining gate among the five palaces in seoul. It is a two-story pavilion, which makes it the largest palace gate. A nine ton bell was hung with a huge drum on the second floor of the gate.

Next, I will tell you about Injeongjeon. Injeongjeon is the throne hall. It is the main hall  where formal events such as civil and military officials reviews were held.

Next, I will tell you about Seonjeongjeon. This building was the King's official office. Here, he discussed national affairs with his retainers and studied.

Next, I will tell you about Huijeongdang & Daejojeon.  Huijeongdang was the king's sleeping place. He also did some work here. Daejojeon was the queen's residence. Queens had to stay in Daejojeon all the time.

It was a good experience to go to Changdukgung palace. If I have time, I want to go to Changdukgung's garden.
