Today we went to the National Museum of Korea. It is a very important museum which contains a lot of national treasures. I saw a lot of things in the museum. The museum is divided into Penninsula, New stonage, Bronze age, Go jo seon, and Silla, Baek jae, Go gu reau, and Gaya.
Penninsula
They broke stones by hitting them and used them for tools. Its end is not sharp, compared to New stonage. They hunted, picked berries, moved around and lived in caves.
New stonage
They polished the stone to make tools. They were sharper, so it was easier to use. They built hut house and farmed. They could stay in one place now.
Bronze Age
They started using Bronze. But only the wealthy and poweful ones could use them. And mostly, they were used for ceremonies. For powerful ones, they made a tomb called Dolmen.
Go jo seon
This is the first country of our nation. They started using iron by this time. There is a legend about it.
Silla
This country is famous for gold. Their arts were very beautiful. This country unify Han Ban Do later.
Baek Jae
This country has a incense burner, which has a pheonix for heaven, animal and plants for paradise, and the dragon means the sea.
Go gu reau
This country's art are very brave and fair. Their tomb has four animals, Blue dragon, Red Pheonix, Turtoise and white tiger.
Gaya
This country disapeared first. They were famous for iron, but it was weak because the country was very disorganized. |
