Gyeongbokgung palace-essay
by Kim Min-Seo
Today, I felt great after the class. Because of study on the Gyeongbokgung palace.
Gyeongbokgung means the 'the Palace of great fortune'! there are five buildings in Gyeongbokgung palace. It is very big and beautiful as the name means. Frankly I didn¡¯t like Gyeongbokgung palace before because I thought it was boring and nothing seems new. However when I see Gyeongbokgung palace with Wang Pei teacher and Vegas teacher , my thought has changed.
I saw Geunjeongjeon, Sajeongjeon, Gangneongjeon, Gyotaejeon, yungjaegyo and cute little symbols of defeat devils and Jagyeongjeon- queen mother¡¯s living quarter, Hyangwonjeong and others.
My best places are Hyangwonji and Gyotaejeon. Hyangwonji shows our ancestor¡¯s wisdom. The fisfes in Hyangwonji is sensitive to the temperature. When the water is to hot or to cold, the fishes could die. So our ancestor make a water way. Bugak mountain to Hyangwonji water way. This water¡¯s temperature is always same. Isn¡¯t it gorgeous?
Gyotaejeon was made beautiful for the queen who could not go outside the palace. There are Amisan backyard and Amisan chimney. Amisan backyard is very famous and beautiful too. There are many flowers, trees and herb.
I want to go to Gyeongbokgung once more. When I been there once more I tell about Gyeongbokgung to my parent¡¯s and said ¡°Gyeongbokgung is fun place, not a board thing.¡±
