The tall and big building seemed to give me a grand reception. It attracted me to the front door of National Museum of Korea. It was a place to learn the history of Korea. The place began where we live, Korea also known as the Korean peninsula. It is located in Eastern part of Asia between Japan and China. After the Korean War in 1950s, it is divided into two separate countries, North and South.

The class started from Prehistoric age. Before the ice melted ice age happened. The first human began to walk (upright) and communicate in their own words about millions of years ago. During the time, they lived in the caves. The level of sea was much more lower than it is right now because of the ice have melted after the ice age, to add Korea and Japan was one piece of land.

Then Paleothic age came in. The first tolls that human used were made out of stones. One of the stone that was used to hunt was known as hand axes. After that age we call it, Neolithic period. Human Beings began to build thatched which were made out of straws and lived in society. During this age of time, they finished and farmed for their food. As food became more available, people made pottery to store or cook their food. This was the time when Comb-Pattern Pottery was introduced.

Lastly, I want to talk about one of my favorite period called, “Bronze age.” People became more advanced in living. Agriculture started. Bronze daggers were introduced instead of stone knives. Rather than making tombs in ground, they also made dolmens. Dolmens were the tombs of tribe leaders. It symbolized the power of man. It shows how powerful the leader was. I have learned lots of things from teachers, Jaime and David who have helped me to understand in every detailed point and I have increased my historical knowledge from bottom to top.
