Yesterday I went to the Gyeongbokgung Palace. Gyeongbokgung Palace is the main palace. Gyeongbokgung means 'The palace of Great Fortune'. Gwanghwamun is the main gate of the Gyeongbokgung Palace.

   First, there is he Inner Palace, Outer Palace and hosting place. Inner Palace is the area for royal amily and some official work. There is the Gangneongjeon, Gyotaejeon and Jagyeongjeon is the Inner Palace. The Outer Palace is for ceremonies, official works and events. There is Geunjeongjeon and Sajeongjeon in the Out Palace. The hosting place is the area for rest and entertainment. There is Hyangwonjeong.

   Second, Geunjeongjeon is the main building in the Gyeongbokgung Palace. In Geunjeongjeon, there was ceremonies such as coronations and Chinese envoy receptions. In Geunjeongjeon, there is throne and Irworobongdo. In Irworobongdo, there is the sun, moon, pinetrees, water and five mountains. The sun means king. The moon means queen. The pinetrees mean officials. The water means people. The five mountains mean land.

   Third, there is Sajeongjeon that king studies in here. Gangneongjeon is king's living quater. Jagyeongjeon is king's mother's living quater. Gyotaejeon is qreen's living quater. In Gyeonghoeru, there are the official parties or ceremonies. The outer pillars are square and the inner pillars are found. This comes from Yin and Yang theory. In Hyangwonjeong, royal family is resting. The outer pillars are square and the inner pillars are found.

   Forth, Dancheong is the color decoration or king's symbol. There is five colors in Dancheong. Red, black, blue, white and yellow. Red means fire, Black means water. Blue means tree. Whiite means iron. Yellow means ground. The Dancheong is so expensive that just king could use.T protect Dancheong, there is bushi(ºÎ½Ã).

   Finally, Jabsang is protection from the fire and evil. The form of Jabsang's charactor is from the Seoyugi story.
