Have you ever been to a place where all the histoeies were hold? Well, it's all there, in the ChangGyeonGung Palace. It is sayng all about kings and Queens.

The more you get colser to it, the more you know about the history fo our ancestors. And in out history there is sorrow. And beauty.

For example, lady jang,  the mother fo King Gyeongjong was killed here. This place! Also Crowm Prince Sado, the father of King jeongjo was put to death in a rice chest. That's unfair, he didn't do anything wrong! Do you think you can judge people's rights, just form hearing their rumors? And just becuase you think they are crazy? I don't think so~ anyaway, let's move on~

Even with these sad sad stories, the ChangGyeongGung Palace are shining brightley as ever. Even all the simple carving has a meaning to it.

Every palace had a stone bridge between the main Gate and the Throne Hall. And one of it is Okcheongyo. People belived that they could meet the king after cleaning up their mind by the flowing water when they crossed the bridge. There are monster carvings between the arches. Which are believed to protect the palace from evil sprits coming from the water.

Dancheong is the colorful Koream-style decorations that are used on buildings During the Joseon Dynasty. Palaces and Buddhist temple were paintedith Dancheong. This symbolizes the dignity and power of the king. Snd also Dancheong consists of five colors. 화, which is Red, represents fire. 수,which is Black represents sater, 목 Green or blue represent tree of wood, 금 white represents metal, and finally, 토, yellow which represents the earth. These five colors represen the five elements which make up the universe.

Remember that I told you about that even little carving means something, well, for that example, there is Japsangs.Japsang are the small figures that are found on the roof. People believed that they had a great power and protected the building from fire. Japsamd comes from the Chinese movel "Journey yo yhe West." The frist on e is a master of Buddhist monk, the second one is a monkey, the third is a pig, and the fourth is an imaginary water ghost and so on.

So how did you thougt about ChangGyeongGung Palace? It is a magical place? Hue? It's lik e our ancestors are saying in our own ears.  So keep that in mind, and don't forget, that this palace is not only about knowing history, it's all about beauty.
