After coming back from ¡®The war memorial of Korea¡¯

                                  Lesson review

   It is in the middle of the summer. Today I¡¯m very tired and hot. But I learned a lot of things about war. Frankly, I was not interested in the Korean war, until I learned about it. I learned about ¡®great victory against Sui china¡¯, ¡®who were the Hwa-rang¡¯ and stuffs.

First, regarding to ¡®great victory against Sui china¡¯, I think the general À»Áö¹®´ö was very clever and brave. Because he didn¡¯t want to fight hard with Sui China. Also he fought calmly. I hope a general like À»Áö¹®´ö would be here now in South Korea.

Second, I also learned about ¡®who were the Hwa-rang¡¯.

Hwa rang was an elite group of young men. They was sons of royal families or noblemen during Silla Kingdom. Originally they gathered to study and practice martial arts.

Third, I am very impressed about how hard Goryeo had fought against Mongol. Mongol invaded Goryeo first in 1231 and then six more times until 1254. In Goryeo there was a brave army named  ¡®»ïº°ÃÊ¡¯. I am very thankful for »ïº°ÃÊ, because they fought against Mongol¡¯s consecutive invasions bravely. And I am little bit disappointed about Gonmin King(°ø¹Î¿Õ). He yielded to Mongo with a very embarrassing attitude. He bumped his head against ground in front of Mongol¡¯s Empire and made deep bows nine times. But what if °ø¹Î¿Õ didn¡¯t surrender that way, now there wasn¡¯t Korea now.

Lastly,  I want to talk about ¡®Imjin War¡¯.

Japan first attacked Jeoseon in 1592. Because of Japanese, many people¡¯s noses were cut off by µµ¿äÅä¹Ì È÷µ¥¿ä½Ã and also many houses were destroyed and thousands of people were killed. But general Yi Sunshin made turtle ships and destroyed 66 enemy ships out of 70. And I was very impressed that when Yi Sunshin got shot, he said ¡°Keep waving the flag and don¡¯t tell anyone of my death¡±.

In every war, I could feel our country¡¯s great vigor. Also I could know how scary wars were.

There was the pain and tragedy of every war.

So after I saw the pain of war, I thought we should thank for being peace.  If I were a soldier in the past time, I couldn¡¯t go to wars.

I think it would be much harder to be a general in the war.

Anyway I am very proud of all of our ancestors who tried to keep our country.
