Today, I went to the 창경 palace. I will talk about what I saw or felt today.
First, I will talk about 창경 palace's structure. It is divided into outer palace, inner palace, and backyard. In the outer palace, there are 명정전, 문정전, and 송문당. And outer palace was used for the daily life of the royal family. In the inner palace, there are 경춘전, 환경전, 양화당, and 통명전. I was impressive that there were so many structures in 창경 palace.
Second, I will talk about 옥천 bridge. Under the 옥천 bridge, there is the stream. People believed that the stream cleans people's mind and spirit who crosses the bridge. Also, the 옥천 bridge connects the common land and king's land. I preyed that this 옥천 bridge could make my spirit clean.
Next, I will talk about 단청. It is colorful Korea - styled building decorations. Red 단청 represents fire, yellow represents earth, green and blue represents tree and wood, black represents water and white represents metal. I was impressed that 단청's each 5 color have its meanings.
Lastly, I will talk about 창경 palace's history. It was first built by king 성종, 1483. Then it was rebuilted because at 1592, the time Japan attacked, 창경 palace was destrowed. But king 광해군 rebuilted 창경 palace in 1616. And it's well - preserved by today. I was relieved that after Japanese invasion, 창경 palace was preserved.
