Today, I went to war memorial of Korea with Mary Story.
War memorial Korea is representing Korea's war's history.
These are three thing that ws very impressing to me.
First of all, 살수 war was very impressing to me.
In this war, 을지문덕 had very clever and nice strategies.
Such as, making war's term longer and longer.
This made 수 China's army tired, and our of food.
Also, he predicted they will cross 살수 river, so he made dam in the 살수 river,
and opened it when they were crossing.
Next, 화랑 was cool, too.
They were an elite group of young mans who are kids of royal families
and nobleman in 신라 kingdom.
They had five rules, loyalty to the country, filial piety, trust among friends,
never retreat in battle, don't kill anything without reason.
I think these things, except never retreat in the battle are also important
rule for now, too.
Lastly, smoke signal station was one of my favor today.
In 조선 dynasty people used smoke signals for communication.
They made smoke in daytime, and fire in night.
We can notice country's safety with 봉수대, smoke signal station.
Signal was 5, and they were not complicated so I guess that was very nice for simple communication that related to country's safety or danger.
Signal was, 1 smoke is normal condition, 2 smokes are the enemy appeared,
3 smokes are the enemy is near the border, 4 smokes are the enemy has
crossed the border, 5 smokes are war has begun.
Usually, I didn't cared of Korea's history's wars, except test time.
However, through thoday's class in War Memorial of Korea, I felt that we had that
much of wars in history, and I thought that Korea is having cold war now one more
time.
I think today's experience was very meaningful, and I want to visit here with my
family one more time, so I want to explain about here to my family.
