Hello. My name is 강민지. Today I went to 운현궁 and learned about it. 운현궁 palace waw the personal house of the 흥선대원군, the father of King 고종. King 고종 lived in 운현궁 until the age of 12, when he became King. People bagan calling it 운현궁 from the time when 고종 became King. It was not an official palace, but it is a still improtant place in Korean history. 운현궁 had two 안채 and one 사랑채. 안채 were 노락당 and 이로당. 이로당 was built because 고종 and 명성황후 married in 노락당, so she lived in 노락당 and 흥선대원군's wife lived in 이로당. Today I learned about historical people in 운현궁. |
