There were five palaces during the Josen Dynasty.

They're Deoksugung,Gyeonghuigung, Gyeongbokgung, Changgyeonggung, and Changdeokgung.

Today we went to Gyeongbokgung.  The Gyeongbokgung is the largest and the most important of all.

You have to pass Gwanghwamun to get into the Gyeongbokgung.

Gwanghwamun is the main gate of the palace.  It was destroyed during the Josen-Japanese war.

However the Heungseon Daewongun rebuilt it at 1866.

If you go into the Gyeongbokgung, the first building you will see is the Guenjeongjeon.

It is the throne hall and also the main building of the palace.  Ceremonies such as royal weddings and enjoy receptions were held here.

National official works were also held here.

The Sajeongjeon is the King's daily working office.

The King and his officials discussed politic affairs.
